About PhoneCheckr

PhoneCheckr is a free phone number validation tool that lets you upload a CSV or Excel file and get back a detailed report on every number — line type (mobile, landline, or VOIP), carrier, country, and validity. Basic checks are free for up to 1,000 records. Full carrier-level reports cost one cent per lookup.

Who we are

PhoneCheckr is built and operated by the team at Salesmsg, a business text-messaging platform used by thousands of teams to reach customers over SMS. Because our customers rely on clean phone lists to run compliant, high-deliverability campaigns, we built PhoneCheckr as a standalone tool anyone can use — no Salesmsg account required.

Why we built it

Every business texting a large list runs into the same problem: some of those numbers are disconnected, some are landlines that can’t receive SMS, some are VOIP numbers that trigger carrier filtering, and some are simply invalid. Sending to bad numbers costs money, hurts sender reputation, and creates TCPA and compliance risk. Existing validation tools were either expensive, developer-only APIs or slow enterprise services. PhoneCheckr exists to make bulk phone validation fast, free for basic checks, and usable by anyone with a spreadsheet.

How it works

Upload a CSV or Excel file at the uploader, map the column that contains phone numbers, and review results in the browser. You can download the enriched file with carrier and line-type columns appended. For single-number lookups, use the single-number checker — no account needed.
